12002 EASTONS BEACH
In 1857, one of the finest and most desirable of all works relating to Newport was printed by Thomas Sinclair of Philadelphia: “The City and Scenery of Newport, Rhode Island”. Along with information about contemporary life in Newport were 13 tinted lithographic views of Newport’s most popular spots, which were originally drawn on stone by John Collins (1833-1869). Redwood acquired these lithographic views for their Newport collection, and have selected two Collins plates to be reproduced due to their exceptional beauty and extraordinary detail: Eastons Beach, and The Glen, Portsmouth, RI.
